Rajasthan government launched the Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme 2021 under which small traders, street vendors and those doing small works can get interest free loans up to 50,000.
The state finance department of Rajasthan government has issued circular regarding the Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme- 2021 as per compliance with the budget announcement made by chief minister Ashok Gehlot.
Due to the COVID-19 and after lock down imposed by the State and Central government to curb to corona pandemic, a large number of vendors and small businessmen faced economic crisis and lost the business and job. Keeping the view of problem faced to street vendor, Government introduced Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme- 2021 .
The scheme will to create self employment opportunities in the urban areas of the state. Credit Loans under the scheme can be sanctioned till March 31, 2022 and the loan moratorium period will be 3 months and the loan repayment period will be 12 months.
Under this scheme,5 lakh beneficiaries between 18-40 age group will be given loan. If your monthly income is Rs.15,000 or less , then you will be eligible for the scheme.
Objective of Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme 2021
- Reduce the impact of COVID-10 on Street vendors and small businessmen.
- To give incentive to the to businessmen in organized sector.
- To give interest free loans up to Rs.50,000
- To promote self employment in opportunities.
Time Limit of this scheme
Loans under the scheme can be sanctioned till March 31, 2022 and the loan moratorium period will be 3 months and the loan repayment period will be 12 months.
