How to Maximize the Returns

Let’s suppose you spend about 5 lakhs a year with Rs.1.5Lakh in accelerated rewards (3.75%) and remaining as regular purchases. Let’s see how much rewards you get.

  • Rs. 5,625 -> Accelerated Rewards: 3.75% on Rs.1.5 lakg spend
  • Rs. 5,000 -> Bonous Rewards: 1 % on Rs. 5 Lakh spend
  • Rs.3,500 -> Regular Rewards : 0.75% on ( 5-1.5 ) 3.5 Lakh
  • Total Savings: Rs.  on 5L lakh spend which is  2.83% Reward Rate

The problem here are that you may not spends 1.5 lakh on accelerated rewards which may reduce the overall reward rate.

But then if you consider fee waiver on 2.5 lakh spend, lounge access & other benefits, I think its amazing credit issued by the Bank of Baroda with returns far more than regular premium credit cards of this range.

Bank of Baroda ETERNA Credit Card Review
Bank of Baroda ETERNA Credit Card

Bank of Baroda ETERNA Credit Card is premium credit issued by the bank of Baroda. The default rewards rate is 0.75% below entry-level credit cards like CitiBank Paytm First Credit Card and Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit card.It would help if you spent at least Rs. 5 lakh to get 2.83 % rewards points ( including 1.5 lakh on accelerated spends). If you cannot spend at least 5 lakh, then it's better to have an entry-level credit card in your wallets that give default 1% rewards without any restriction.

      For CARDHOLDERS of BOBCARDS, Bonus Points are valid up to respective financial year only. At the end of the relevant financial year, from the cardholder’s transaction Date (bonus points earned). Therefore, card Holders need to send the bonus points redemption request by 31st May of next financial of the transaction/bonus point accumulated FY.

      Example: You have earned 8000 bonus points in Financial year (F.Y.) 2020-2021) (1st April 2020 to 31 March 2021). You have to send the bonus points redemption request to Bobcards by 31st May 2021 other wise all the earned bonus points shall be expired, and you will not be able to get the bonus points benefits for the bonus points earned between 1st April 2020 to 31 March 2021.

      I hope I was able to clarify.
